This session will cover the basics of quantum computing, including superposition, entanglement, interference, decoherence, and tunneling.Attendees will learn about the history and future of quantum computing, and receive information on high school summer programs, top universities with quantum computing courses, and additional resources for further exploration.

    Founder and CEO HS Navigator
    Mehar is a Georgia Tech student who recently graduated with an undergraduate degree and is continuing his MS, expected in Spring 2025.A former valedictorian of South Brunswick High School, he holds certifications as an AWS Machine Learning Specialist and Architect Associate along with Oracle Generative AI and CLoud Infrastructure certification.

    Mehar's professional experience includes his current role as a Quantitative Developer Intern at Xantium, SDE internships with Amazon's DynamoDB Team and Bloomberg Engineering, as well as a teaching assistant position in Columbia University's AI4ALL program.

    He is the founder and lead developer of the HS Navigator platform, showcasing his skills in Python, HTML, and Java.His diverse interests include astronomy, cryptography, percussion, and volunteering.Mehar continues to apply his expertise to enhance the HS Navigator website, demonstrating his commitment to practical applications of computer science.Outside of school, he enjoys playing percussion, reading books, cooking, volunteering, and tutoring.
